Hello all my readers! I'm back from the glorious birthday weekend. It was amazing. Spent it with friends and family, and the love of my life. Since then, it's been schoolwork. Projects, papers, and finals are almost finished! Huzzah! I have only two more and then it'll be done until mid-January when the classes start all over again.

Bah.

Need Your Own Website?

Ever since I started my little shop on Etsy, I've been thinking of investing into a webhost and having my own websites. Lots of people in the chatrooms and boards on Etsy say they sell more off their website than on the Etsy shop they hold. It seems like a good idea. But there are a few things I have to worry about first.

1. I'd like to make a profit before I get a website. Even if it is only a little bit each month out of the budget, the cost for a website can add up quick. And I just don't have it right now.

2. I know very little about HTML or CSS or any of that kind of stuff. I want my website to be fancy and alluring to the customer. In order to do this, I have to make it look appealing. And so I need the expertise of someone who can do all of that web mumbo jumbo. This will also probably cost a pretty penny.

3. I don't have the time at the moment to maintain it. Classes, work, and the holidays are making the idea of getting a website up and running nearly impossible. Besides the tightening of the budget, I also have to worry about the lack of time I have during these couple of months.

So basically I have a few reservations. However, I found a great place for the investigation part of my search for a webhost. That would be Web Hosting Geeks, a place where web hosting reviews are written and posted all in one place!

They even have great little side bars where you can find Free Google Adwords, Domain Names, and Yahoo Marketing. This site is definitely a keeper!

So do you need a webhost? Or are you thinking of changing your host? Perhaps you should look at the web hosting reviews first and then make your decision.

Well, we're still putting up the Christmas tree. About 2/3rds are up, and half the decorations are on it. But it's a nine-ten foot tree. So it's a BIG tree.

When I think of motorcycles, I immediately think of the good old Harley Davidson. Did you know that they just recently celebrated their 105th anniversary?? 105 years! Goodness! That’s exactly my age times five!

Eyeglasses Anyone?

How many of you all wear glasses or contacts? How many of you need them but choose not to get them? Is the reason because you fear you’ll be the laughing stock of your peers? Do you not like the look of glasses? Or do you just not have enough money to foot the bill of both an eye exam and the prescription glasses and/or contacts?

If it’s because of the first reason, glasses are now forever popular. You don’t have to worry about being called four-eyes any longer. And if you are, it’s by fellow four-eyes as an endearment.

It’s the second reason, well shame on you! The look is not what matters! It’s being able to see! Get some frame-less glasses if you’re really that picky.

But if it’s the third reason, man do I feel you. We’re in that boat at my household as well. And as the year is coming to a close, and the routine eye exams are coming up... I’m pinching my pennies wherever I can.

Here’s the thing though. I found this great site, ZenniOptical, where eyeglasses are cheap! That’s not to say the quality is bad at all either! These prescription glasses are quite affordable! Auto Body Baby!

I don't think I quite iterated how much my car is a hunk of junk. You already know it has a disposable engine. Well, it gets worse.

My front bumper is cracked and chipped when someone decided that they wanted to play bumper cars with my parked car in a college dormitory parking lot. And the poly on my car has peeled over the past year, especially on the car's top. It used to be a stripe of where the poly had peeled... well now there's a stripe of poly left.

My trunk is now also beginning to bubble and peel. And it hasn't seen a good car wash in a loooong time because no matter what I do to the car, it's body would still look horrible.

I want to clean it up. Make it look almost like new again. Haha... yeah right.

But actually, that seems to be a good possibility. I found a great site that allows me to find the local body shops in my area. And that would be auto body shops city of industry. It's great!

TURBOCHARGE IT!

Hi Guys! I'm going to talk to you about my car today. My wonderful, hunk of junk 98 Dodge Stratus. He's Ol' Reliable, but yeah... he's one of those cars that are known to have disposable engines. We did not find this out until AFTER we bought the car and everyone we had asked for advice started to nag at us for getting a disposable car. Bah.

ANYWAY

I like to look up sites that seem interesting and have some cool car accessories and all that jazz yah know? So I was looking up sites, and I came across one that was quite interesting.

It's pretty sweet! Do you need a turbocharger for your car? I'm sure you do! If not I'm sure you'd like one! The turbo and superchargers are used to force oxygen into your car's system. It's a big deal. Oxygen in the system helps out the car A LOT! For example, with oxygen now being forced into your car by the turbo or supercharger, you now have a better running vehicle. It greatly improves horsepower and torque! Plus so much more!

And the turbocharger pros don't just specialize in turbochargers for Audis and VWs. I looked up my Ol' Reliable's make and model and voila! There was quite a few parts (including a driving axle) for my Dodge Stratus that I could buy right from their site! They have an extensive inventory of parts with warranty! Now that's awesome! I could save so much money by buying the parts I need from this site and then just having someone do the labor. I'd be saving all those extra fees that a dealership tacks on to make their money.
